Authentic Italian Food at Bencotto in Boston

Not only authentic Italian food at Bencotto’s in Boston, but brick oven gluten-free pizza! I was in heaven! I don’t think I’ve ever had better pizza to be honest, it was amazing!

Our family recently took a trip to Boston this summer for a wedding, and did some sightseeing one day, and came across an excellent restaurant called Bencotto. Come to find out, there is an entire area in the North End of Boston that has a group of restaurants labeled ‘Little Italy’ that have been serving authentic Italian food for decades.

Bencotto’s serves gluten-free pasta, gluten-free garlic bread, and brick oven gluten-free pizza! They have a really great menu below, which labels the items they can serve as gluten-free, and the servers were educated on what gluten is and how to help prevent cross-contamination.

Great Family Atmosphere at Bencotto

The picture isn’t the best quality, but here are my family and I in the basement of Bencotto’s, where we ate. It is a relatively small restaurant, situated right on the corner of the North End in Boston. The upstairs has a small dining area, and the basement also has one.

The best menu they have in my opinion to find out about the gluten-free options is their online ordering menu which goes into more detail about what items are gluten-free as they are labeled.

They have a gluten-free pizza category that lists all the different types of gluten-free pizza they offer. Additionally, you can substitute any pasta with gluten-free penne or gluten-free gnocchi (be cautious of breaded pasta dishes, such as chicken or veal parmesan). They even have gluten-free garlic bread with/without cheese!

You won’t be disappointed! Hope you can try this brick oven gluten-free pizza sometime, it was amazing!
