Gluten-Free Food Trucks in Ohio!

Since its summer time for a little bit longer, just doing some research on where you can eat quick food in Ohio (which is where I am from lol). Plan on broadening my horizons to other cities and states but wanted to start here as I don’t often highlight gluten-free food trucks as finding ones that have gluten-free options is difficult to come by.

But I managed to find five though in Ohio that offer good gluten-free options (a few are entirely gluten-free believe it or not) and wanted to share.

If you are looking for other quick ideas for eating out gluten-free, download my free ebook with My Top 10 Fast Food Chains For The Gluten Intolerant.

I also found a couple of websites that list food trucks around the country. It doesn’t provide a lot of information about each food truck, but if you are traveling, for instance, and want to conduct your own research, this is a good place to start.

Roaming Hunger

Paddy Wagon – Columbus, Ohio

Using a police theme, their motto is ‘Culinary justice is served’. Sandwiches, wraps, tacos, and grilled cheese are some of the highlights of the menu. A few very cute names for some of their items, like Port Authority Pineapple Tacos and Hummuscide, I’m looking forward to trying these out soon!

I like their menu, very clearly marked GF or can be made GF, has a direct link to their current schedule for their food truck, and they can even do weddings! Lots of good reviews too, been in business 15 years, check them out the next time you are in Columbus.

Winston’s Coffee & Waffles – Columbus, Ohio

Named after Winston Churchill and his philosophy that he was ‘easily satisfied with the very best,’ they make the best coffee & waffles according to their website and offer gluten-free waffles plain, strawberry, blueberry or even bacon-infused. They also offer what they call the Gluten-Free Empire waffle with sausage, egg, cheddar cheese, lettuce and mayo, sounds amazing! And something I can honestly say I’ve never heard of before lol, but it’s called the Gluten-Free MOD and sounds like a hamburger with beef (in the batter), cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and ketchup all on top of a waffle.

Let me know if you try Winston’s Coffee & Waffles and what you think please!

The Family Spoon – Springfield, Ohio

This food truck specializes in homemade soups and sandwiches. What they can offer those with gluten intolerance like us is vegan and gluten-free wraps and sandwiches. The Veggie has grilled tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, banana peppers, and homemade southwest sauce on GF bread. They also have a gluten-free grilled cheese sandwich and GF country ham and potato soup.

Their Facebook page is their website, so check it out to keep up-to-date on where their gluten-free food truck will be next.

Caveman Crepes – Cincinnati, Ohio

Something you don’t see very often is crepes being gluten-free, so this is awesome that someone offers a gluten-free version!

Looks like they offer both sweet and savory crepes: Buffalo chicken, ham and Swiss, caprese, Nutella, lemon butter and cinnamon, yum.

Check their Facebook page for current events and their complete schedule.

It’s Only Fair, LLC – Cleveland, Ohio

Something you don’t see very often, fair food for the gluten-free! Funnel cakes, deep-fried Oreos, mozzarella sticks, walking tacos, fries, and corn dogs, just to name a few of the items. They mention they are celiac

If you are in the mood for carnival food, check their Facebook page for their full schedule.

Go try these gluten-free food trucks while you still can and enjoy all these great options!
