No more worries when you are trying to eat out gluten-free in Florida, I’ve found three great restaurants with tons of locations! Two of the restaurants are dedicated gluten-free and one goes to a great extent to make sure there is no contamination of gluten-containing ingredients.

Fresh Kitchen

I particularly look for restaurants with healthy choices and this one definitely hits the mark. Their goal is to provide convenient, tasty, customizable food for their patrons and they make their food from scratch every day cooked with 100% olive oil. All of their food is 100% gluten-free, with no processed sugars, antibiotic and hormone-free meats, and homemade sauces. They are bowl-based just like Bibibop and Chipotle are, but they have a large amount of choices and options so you can make it exactly how you want it.

They offer a Kid’s Bowl, a Four Bowl (four options), and a Six Bowl as the main choices. Their bases include many different kinds of rice, cauliflower, sweet potato noodles, spinach, and kale. Veggies to add include sweet potato, garlic broccoli, sesame green beans, basil mushrooms, and spicy chickpeas. Multiple kinds of proteins including chicken, salmon, steak, and tofu, and homemade sauces like creamy white ginger and housemade sriracha just to name a few. Lastly, they have add-ons such as cheeses and pico de gallo as well as homemade juice drinks and teas.

So if you are looking for a restaurant in Florida with gluten-free options (and dairy-free and nut-free options as well), give Fresh Kitchen a try. I think what I like the most is that this is gluten-free take-out food that is quick and fresh so if you don’t have the time, you can even order online and they will have it ready!

Bolay

Another great option to eat out gluten-free in Florida is Bolay. This company was co-created by the founder of Outback Steakhouse. They were looking for food that was fresh and bold with a focus on health, community, and tons of flavor.

All of their food is 100% gluten-free and is set up very similar to Fresh Kitchen. Their main product is a ‘bol’ and you add your base ingredients, toppings, proteins, and sauces. They have chef bols, build-your-own bols, catering, family meals, juices and teas, and desserts. Some of the chef bols sound amazing such as citrus chicken, roasted salmon, and steak au jus. The best part they have chocolate chip and Snickerdoodle cookies for dessert!

Mellow Mushroom

Last but not least who wants some pizza? Mellow Mushroom is an almost 50-year-old restaurant chain that offers fresh, high-quality, stone-baked pizzas made from scratch. They have 4 pizzas that are certified gluten-free and they go to great lengths to not cross-contaminate by using fresh aprons and gloves and a separate food prep area when they are making gluten-free pizzas. The gluten-free pizzas include the gluten-free house special, gluten-free Kosmic Karma, gluten-free Mighty Meaty, gluten-free veg out, and a build-your-own gluten-free option. And as a bonus, they offer a gluten-free brownie, yum!
