Gluten-Free Candy You Can Enjoy This Halloween

Busy Gluten Free

It’s Halloween and you need to know, what candy can I eat if I have a gluten intolerance?  Well, you have come to the right place!  Below are some of the best-known gluten-free candy and candy bars available today!  Along with a list of candy that you shouldn’t be eating that contains gluten.

If you are interested, click here to see a list of the top candy preferences by state in the United States this Halloween according to Candystore.com.

Mars Corporation

The first four candy or candy bars listed below are made by the Mars Corporation.  None of the candy/candy bars listed below contain gluten ingredients, but Mars does not label their products gluten-free.  For this reason, always read the ingredient label in case something changes.

Snickers

Now I have to admit these are my favorite!  To the point where I try NOT to have them around the house because I eat them too often.  The good news, Snickers contain no gluten ingredients!  Now the bad news is they need to come with a warning label though because they can be very dangerous as they are very addictive lol!  They contain peanuts, nougat, caramel, and milk chocolate.  Click here to visit their site.  Yum!

M&Ms

The first candy that Mars created back in the 1940s, and probably the most famous of all, M&Ms!  And they contain no gluten ingredients!  So many variations!  Check out their website for more details by clicking here.

Skittles

An option for those who aren’t a fan of chocolate (I have to admit I am really not – I know I’m weird) is Skittles!  They contain no gluten ingredients and offer fruity flavors such as strawberry, green apple, grape, lemon, and orange!  So many colors and so many variations.  Click here to check out all the options for Skittles.

Starbursts

Lastly, Mars created Starbursts candy which is chewy like taffy and comes in four original flavors strawberry, cherry, orange, and lemon.  Starbursts contain no gluten ingredients!  Click here to check out more about Starbursts.

The Hershey Company

Now Hershey makes it very simple!  They have a webpage that lists all their products and allows you to sort by dietary needs which includes eating gluten-free!  So this makes things so much easier.  Click here to access this page.  Below are three of the most well-known candy from Hershey’s that all just happen to be gluten-free!

Hershey Bar/Hershey’s Kisses

The original and the most well-known Hershey’s products would be the Hershey bar or Hershey’s Kisses.  Milk chocolate goodness in bars or drops for those who absolutely love chocolate.  Totally gluten-free!  Click here to find out more about Hershey’s bars and Hershey’s Kisses.

Reese’s Cup

Rated #1 in the Candystore.com survey above, is Reese’s Cups!  A Reese’s Cup is the perfect mingling of peanut butter and chocolate that satisfies so many!  Reese’s Cups are also gluten free so enjoy as many as you would like!  Well, maybe not too many…lol.

Note:  Per Reese’s website, any of the variations of Reese’s Cups such as seasonal shapes for the holidays, or the minis are not gluten-free so to be safe I would just stick with the original Reese’s Cup.  If you are wanting to try other variations of Reese’s Cups, please check the ingredient label before eating.

You can click here to find out more about Reese’s Cups.

Popular Halloween Candy That Is NOT Gluten Free

Unfortunately, some other very well-known candy and candy bars are NOT gluten-free though, here is a list for you:

Original Milky Way bars – they contain malted barley, but Milky Way Caramels and Milky Way Dark do NOT contain gluten ingredients.

Twix

Kit Kats

Original Mars bars

Licorice

Twizzlers

Gummy Bears – (although I have seen a few brands of gummy bears that are gluten-free so check the labels).

Hope this has helped you!  As always, ingredient labels can change, so please read all labels before eating to stay safe! Also, if you want to check out some other great gluten-free sweets, click here!

Please let me know if you have any further questions or comments and enjoy gluten-free candy this Halloween with no worries!
