100% Gluten-Free Restaurant – Bibibop!

Busy Gluten Free

Wow!! My husband and I were very impressed today! We were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary today and we both said let’s try Bibibop! A quick and affordable 100% gluten-free restaurant that our friends have recommended but we had never gotten around to trying. Soooo good! And so many options and ways to have your meal! If you are looking for a great place to eat out that is gluten-free, try Bibibop!

Bibibop is a spin-off of a traditional Korean meal called bibimbap which means ‘mixed rice’. It is served with the base (usually rice) and then the toppings are added in sections on top and then when ready to eat, you mix it all together. Fun fact, this meal was started centuries ago by Korean farmers because it was a way to use up all their leftover food before harvest time and would make a lot so they could feed many people.

The philosophy of Bibibop is healthy, unprocessed Asian food in a bowl. You start with several options as a base in original or small size: white rice, purple rice, sweet potato noodles, salad, or any combination of two of these items. Then you move on to hot proteins (they charge extra for these though) and the options are Korean barbeque beef, steak, chicken, extra spicy chicken, and tofu.

Choices include black beans, potatoes, roasted sesame broccoli, and bean sprouts. You can select one or all of them.

Choices include corn, carrots, cheese, cucumbers, eggs, pickled red cabbage, kale, and even kimchi. Have you ever tried kimchi? I have not and I didn’t put any on this time but I would like to try some next time. You can pick one or all of them!

Lastly would be the sauces, with lots of variety from hot to mild along with the traditional Asian sauces like Yum Yum, Teriyaki, and Sesame Ginger. Here is the full list:

You get one free sauce with purchase but can add however many more you want as well! And you can buy the sauces there to take home if you like them and they sell them in retail stores now because I have seen them in Kroger and Walmart recently!

I find it curious though, if you look at the ‘O’ in their logo, it looks like it has a wheat symbol! They have all over their store windows that they are 100% gluten-free so it kind of threw me for a loop! I can’t seem to find out why either that they do this.

Overall, a wonderful place to eat out gluten-free where you know you don’t have to worry about ordering anything with gluten! 100% gluten-free restaurant – Bibibop! A very rare thing in a fast food chain restaurant so I highly recommend it.

From what I can tell, they have 50 locations in states such as California, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Washington DC. Click here to see if there is a location near you.
