My Thoughts on Old Scratch Pizza

Old Scratch Pizza wall in restaurant

My daughter and I decided to try this pizza place near Centerville, Ohio (near Dayton) where we had heard they had really good pizza and I would have to say, we were not disappointed! Really good, brick oven pizza, made to order with fresh ingredients. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I felt this was a very unique pizza restaurant compared to most we have been to.

Taking a look at the Old Scratch Pizza menu both on their website and in person, I noticed the very unique pizza options available and was very happy to see that GF items were clearly marked, so I could make a quick decision about what I wanted to eat without having to worry. You get the feeling when you are there that they are trying to show you how pizza should be made and how it should be eaten.

As they state on their website, ‘For the love of pizza, please fold.’ Ha!

Their pizzas are made by hand, have a thin crust, are made with fresh ingredients, and are cooked in brick ovens. The restaurant had a hometown, family-type feeling and was very inviting.

The website is extremely helpful and can answer any questions you might have. They currently have 4 locations in Ohio and offer online ordering, catering, and a rewards program through their app.

Overall, I’m really happy to find that Old Scratch Pizza has gluten-free options, and I’m super excited to recommend them to anyone with a gluten intolerance. Go out and enjoy pizza again, we did!
